Looking forward

I’ve pulled on my “boots” and started walking into my future. And unless I need to do so to figure out how I got into a mess, I’m not looking back.
Too many of us spend our lives looking backward, not forward. We’re always glancing over our shoulder to see who, or what, is gaining on us. The trouble with doing that is, it slows us down. Not A Good Fit

Over the past month or so I’ve applied to dozens of jobs - thinking they would be a great fit or opportunity for me. In the past I’ve always taken the first job I was offered, usually glad to have any kind of job. Then, six months into the job it became very obvious that what I wanted, and what they expected weren’t anywhere near the same thing and we parted ways. When You Care – You Show It

In case you’re interested, since 1992 wreaths from Maine have decorated the graves of soldiers at Arlington Cemetery. These wreaths — some 105,000 of them — are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine . The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. Worchester has a website detailing the project, the people and the stories behind the project. United Breaks Guitars

Ever wanted to really stick it to an airline or company who screwed you over, broke something, or caused you undue grief? This band did - writing a VERY catchy song after United AIrlines broke their guitars, then passed the buck in admitting they were wrong. I’m sure the resulting viral song will be around a long time. Lesson? DO THE RIGHT THING.

Changes and Commitment, Not Resolutions

As the old saying goes, a chicken is involved in breakfast, a pig is committed to it. Commitment is something you don’t walk away from, at least not easily - like marriage, having children or giving up an addiction - like sugar, alcohol, tobacco, whatever.
A few weeks ago I committed to a new eating, exercising and health regime. I had to. I felt like I was dying. I had no energy, a deepening depression and constant pain. Today, after a month of giving up sodas, eating NO processed food …
