I Want to Be The Biggest Loser

I confess. I’m addicted to the show, “The Biggest Loser.” I was never fat as a child - ever. In fact, when I wasn’t being recruited to be a child model by my aunt, people wondered if I was “too skinny” - since my knobby knees and pencil thin limbs made me look anorexic. In high school I was 5′ 3″ tall and weighed 115 and my parents called me “fat.” Looking back now I’d love to be that “fat” now.

International Freelancers Day!! Sign up NOW! It’s FREE!

Dear friends of mine,
Thanks for writing to ask me to proof your ebook, write a press release, tell you how to start your own online business or how to create a website. I’m charging $$ for those things now. Yep. I don’t do freebies anymore. I just can’t. I’m too booked with paying clients, the pro bono volunteer work I do (that plate is full too), and the down-time I’m taking to ensure I stay healthy. Yep. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Time. I think I’ve wasted 2/3’s of my life worrying about and fixing or trying to fix what other people think is urgent. I …

The Fear of Not Being Good Enough

If you were raised to believe you weren’t “good enough,” as I was, then you probably have a hard time taking risks that may confirm to the whole world that what they thought about you was/is true - that you’re not good enough.
In my life I have rappelled off buildings, cliffs and towers and once out of a helicopter. I have been a raft guide and kayaked rivers that are deadly and that have literally killed dozens. I’ve hiked the Appalachian trail through three states by myself. I’ve lived …
