Licking My Wounds Not a Bad thing

I had a really, really, really, really good month last month. I met up with some old friends I hadn’t seen in years, found a great campground, had a good month work wise, found a new group of friends to go fishing with this month and all in all - just had a great month!
But I also took on more than I could handle in a couple of areas and learned once again that if you juggle enough plates one or more WILL come crashing down.

Pictures tell the story

I’m a photojournalist as well as a journalist - for 22 years I shot almost all my own story photos. So I know the power of pictures.

Safe People – How to Spot Them? Develop Boundaries.

Having come from an abusive background I spent most of my life not recognizing unsafe people. I don’t mean the ones who will rob, beat, steal and rape you - but the ones who say they’re your friend, then betray, use or abandon you. Expect the unexpected

I spent most of the day yesterday troubleshooting and then wiping my hard drive clean and reinstalling about a zillion pieces of software and resetting preferences on my MacBook. As most of you know, my Mac is on its third hard drive, third power cord and third battery in four years. Thank God for Apple Care or I could have paid the equivilent cost of five new computers by now. Apple, for future reference, does not replace its lemons. It replaces the parts in them.
