This is month eight of Hostgator hell for me. I signed up for a Hostgator account 8 months ago, decided I didn’t like the dashboard, hosting or anything else about them and so I tried to cancel the account. I couldn’t. For eight months Hostgator has been sending me invoices which I refuse to pay because I said I CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. No one is listening. They sent me looooong forms demanding C Panel numbers and technical information and refused to cancel the account unless I filled out more pages …

I was raised in a family of addicts - alcoholics and a parent addicted to prescription meds. I dated, lived with and was involved with addicts most of my life. I am co-dependent and in recovery for my co-dependency (my tendency to rescue people who refuse to take responsibility for their lives because it enables them to avoid looking at the mess their own life is in.
