The Red Pan

Something as simple as a new red frying pan shouldn’t get me so excited, but it has. Not only will it fit into EVERY drawer in my van, it’s perfect for the kind of cooking I do. I can get a perfect pancake, one fried egg, a pork chop or a hamburger cooked quickly and with less heat than a larger pan. Easy to clean, compact, RED and well made, this is my favorite purchase of the month. There’s a handle with a slot for a carabiner so I can …

Help Me Get My Twitter Account Back!

My Twitter account (@beckyblanton and my TED Twitter ) was hi-jacked several weeks, a month or more ago by one of the low-lifes who think it’s funny to post an ap and phish for account numbers. I fell for it. Now I no longer have a twitter account, although I get followers everyday.

Yet MILLIONS, 3.5 million in 2006 (the population of Denver, Colorado) of people every year are homeless through no fault of their own. They lose their homes, lose their jobs, lose everything.
Yet people attack them for this even though in most cases the losses are not their fault! Yes, there are addicts who become homeless, or homeless who become …

Linda Hamilton, my hero

Linda Hamilton is one of the most powerful people I now know of. And she’s often homeless, and is physically crippled. She’s an older black woman in America - not exactly starting very high up on the food chain. But she doesn’t seem to notice. She has something most of us don’t have - compassion for a stranger. Start paying close attention at about 4:25 in this video. That’s when Linda appears.
One of the most common MISCONCEPTIONS about compassion, love, and PERSONAL POWER is that the wealthy or well off …
