This is one of my rare religious rants. If you are offended by talk of God or faith, stop reading right now.
I just read an editorial by Jeffrey T. Kuhner. Kuhner is a columnist at The Washington Times. I’d quote parts of the article here except if I did RightHaven would sue me for $75,000 claiming a copy right breach. It wouldn’t matter if I was quoting him under fair use at all, RightHaven sues just because they can and they’ve been fairly successful - even suing one man for …

For Unto Us a Child is Born

One of the great things about America (for now) is the freedom of speech, of faith, of religion. Not everyone who reads this post today shares my faith, but for those who do, you understand my joy! Today is the birthday of my savior. Whether Jesus Christ was born in April, July, August, December - doesn’t matter as much as the fact that on THIS day we celebrate His birth. You get it. The Epic Story Behind The Birth

If you are the average Christian, or have been exposed to the average Christian version of Christmas, and the birth and in the manager and Noah and the flood, your basic knowledge of God, the Bible and Christianity goes something like this:

Tis The Season And All That

December is probably the only time of year people will tolerate, albeit some with gritted teeth, talk of God and Jesus Christ. After all, the whole manager scene IS what Christmas is about. But this year I’m going to do something unusual. I’m going to talk about what really went on and the back story of Christmas. You know - UFO’s, giants, spirits, demons, the galactic battle between good and evil. It’s all stuff the mainstream church doesn’t talk about. Jesus wasn’t just a sweet little baby born in a …

What I love, what I hate

I stand up on my soap box here from time to time. I’m passionate about defending the underdog and it comes out in angry or seemingly unrelated posts. People I love were molested by Presbyterian priests, and child molestation, rape and abuse ranks high on my list of things to complain loud and long about.
Someone asked if I was afraid of offending Catholics with my post yesterday. Sorry, I have to weigh the potential of stopping or silencing a child molester, or informing or educating the public with how widespread …
