Christmas is About a War
While I appreciate how people see Christmas as a holiday, it’s really about a critical stage in a centuries long war that started at the beginning of time and is finally nearing its end.
For those of you who think “the baby Jesus” is just a cool story, maybe you aren’t aware of why God had a son in the first place.
Adam & Eve rebelled against God in the Garden of Eden, listening to Lucifer, a fallen angel whose sole purpose is to overcome and destroy God (good luck with that) and all of God’s creation. Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, not because they sinned, but because God didn’t want them to eat of the tree of life and live for all eternity in a sin state—hating, fearing, and acting and living like people do today. He then set out to redeem them from their disobedience. But guess what…Lucifer, who tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden, knew what God planned to do. So he schemed to destroy man before God could redeem man.
Lucifer’s angels (the rebel forces) and the Watchers (another group of angels tasked with protecting men) came to earth, raped, mated and had children with human beings (Genesis 6).
Their offspring were called the “Nephelim”. They were, and are, half human, half angel. Their DNA has been corrupted so they are no longer human. The Nephelim were real, and were the gods (small g) of Greek and Roman mythology. They were pretty active, because over time they managed to corrupt everyone on earth—except Noah and his family.
God destroyed the earth in Noah’s time, in the great flood, because the Nephelim had covered the earth and were destroying it. They were cannibals, eating people, sacrificing children in fire ceremonies and being the evil creatures they were because they were fallen. God saved Noah because he was “perfect in his generations.” That meant Noah and his family were the only ones on earth who had not had their DNA corrupted.
The Nephelim perished in the flood, but the angels came back again, continuing to mate with women and have offspring…until God put a stop to it by chaining them up.
Why was Lucifer/Satan so adamant about corrupting all the human DNA? Because without a pure bloodline, God could not send his son to earth to atone for the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden.
All of history, all wars, all battles are fought over God, land, religion because that’s what this is all about—a war, physical and spiritual, happening now. Christmas, the culmination of Christ’s birth, was the victory of God over Satan’s attempt to destroy man and prevent the birth of a savior. Satan really screwed up when he pushed to have Christ crucified. Christ’s death and Resurrection were the victory for God in this ongoing battle. All human beings have to do is acknowledge Christ is the Son of God, and that we are sinners and imperfect and not worthy of a relationship with God unless we accept Christ’s gift of salvation. He paid the “fine” for our actions. If we don’t accept that gift, then we have to pay it ourselves.
The battle rages on. But it’s about to end. The wars in the middle east, the earthquakes, famine, pestilence, all that’s about to come upon the earth is from Satan, who is still in control of it.
God doesn’t want anyone to perish. He wants us all to live, but the majority of people on this planet won’t listen. They’re unable to hear his call, or they quash it.
Christmas is a time of “peace and goodwill towards men” but more than that, it’s about the greatest gift of all, salvation—eternal life with God. Please don’t wait to accept Christ. The time is getting closer to when there won’t be time to be saved and to be taken out of the wrath that’s coming. It’s frustrating for me to write this because so many won’t hear, won’t get it and won’t believe in time. It sounds like so much religious drama….but it’s not. It’s not. God loves you and wants you. Just accept him.
