What I love, what I hate

I stand up on my soap box here from time to time. I’m passionate about defending the underdog and it comes out in angry or seemingly unrelated posts. People I love were molested by Presbyterian priests, and child molestation, rape and abuse ranks high on my list of things to complain loud and long about.
Someone asked if I was afraid of offending Catholics with my post yesterday. Sorry, I have to weigh the potential of stopping or silencing a child molester, or informing or educating the public with how widespread this issue is, with the possibility a Catholic might be offended? Hmmmm. Sorry if you’re offended, but it’s more important to educate and inform people whose lives might be destroyed for ever than to worry about someone feeling miffed I dissed their religion. Those who understand that pedophiles come in all religions, sizes, genders and shapes will understand. It’s not the faith - it’s the kind of people attracted to the power of the faith. Happens in every religion, but there are more Catholics than Presbyterians so they get more press time.
What I love: People who are honest, kind, caring, thoughtful, generous and understanding.
What I hate: People who are users, liars, cheapskates, jerks, thoughtless and petty.
Both will find themselves on these pages.
